Profile: Ctrllab

Established in 2007, Ctrllab is an artist run gallery dedicated to the promotion and support of art that addresses contemporary issues and reflects, stimulates and/or challenges our cultural, social and individual values told through the eyes, hands and hearts of emerging Montreal artists.

Through past events, Ctrllab has become a vibrant venue for video, photography, sculpture, painting, dance, theatre and private events. Our second floor space located on St. Laurent Boulevard allows for a unique and intimate environment for its guests and participants.

Rather than seeking out exhibits, Ctrllab opens its door and floor to young artists and curators in search of a space to present solo or group shows through low rental fees.

While allowing such openness and non-discrimination of exhibition, Ctrllab hopes to create a continuous dialogue within the diverse artistic and local communities of Montreal.
